Gluten-Free Delicious-ness + A Grilled Flank Steak Recipe
It’s that time again, time for me to tell you what to eat. The current issue of Eating Well features my Gluten Free eating plan that’s around 1500 calories and loaded with flavor (how does a grilled flank steak salad sound?) and fantastic nutrition (loads of veggies, fruits and whole grains!). For those among you who have celiac disease or suffer with gluten sensitivity, this meal plan was designed just for you. I know it can be hard to be creative when faced with food restrictions, so I’ve done the work for you.
That’s right, I’ve come up with snacks, as well as ideas for breakfast, lunch and dinner to help make your life easier. Just to let you know, everything won high marks in my household, but the highlight is definitely dinner – Grilled Flank Steak Salad with Ginger-Wasabi Dressing. Talk about flavor! You won’t miss the gluten when you pair grilled flank steak with a vibrant ginger-wasabi dressing. Plus, it’s easy to make and clean-up. So hurry on over to Eating Well to get the recipe!
Bonus – 3 Tips on Making Tasty GF Recipes:
- Add flavor where you can. GF doesn’t have to be bland and boring! Herbs and spices are mostly gluten-free. Read labels to be sure then use with abandon!
- Experiment. Don’t be scared of your food. Try new flavor combinations, new GF grains or other foods that you’ve never had. Fruits and vegetables are gluten-free too! Add some new ones into your culinary repertoire.
- Jazz it up with citrus. It’s amazing what little citrus can do. Add bursts of brightness to any dish (and even water) with a squeeze of fresh lemon or lime. How about that for gluten-free goodness?
Congratulations, you can now make some seriously yummy GF food!
