Yes, I know, my blog is typically not about fashion. In fact for those of you that know me well, you know that I choose to forgo makeup and always wear comfy (read stretchy workout) clothes. The reason? Because #1 I’m lazy and #2 I feel most happy when I am COMFORTABLE. But sometimes, I need help, because sometimes, I should dress and look like a grown-up. So, like any smart woman, I asked someone else for help, enter Brittany Hinrichs.
TACOS are one of my absolute favorite foods (it’s a tie with pizza if you must know). I honestly believe that anything can become a taco. And tacos can be for any meal, not just lunch or dinner, but breakfast too or hey, how about a taco snack? YUM! But if you must know, fish tacos are my most favorite, with shrimp tacos following close behind! Hmmm, did someone say Tequila Citrus Shrimp Tacos?
I am a sucker for a good breakfast wrap or sandwich. There’s just something so lovely about warm, fluffy eggs tucked into a whole wheat tortilla or sandwiched between a toasted English muffin. It’s pure breakfast (or anytime!) perfection.
“I’m so hungry!” How many times have you said that or heard that? More than you can count, right? But finding a snack that satisfies that hunger can sometimes be a challenge. But I’ve got the weapon to fight that hunger! My Chocolate Truffle Energy Bites!
Here’s what I know, you either love Valentine’s Day or you don’t. Here’s what else I know, no matter how you feel about Valentine’s Day, you’ll never turn down a fun little heart-shaped sugar cookie, right? I also know that if you happen to be a 4 year old, there’s no question about it, you absolutely love Valentine’s Day and you absolutely love cookies, any cookie… “GIVE ME A COOKIE!” is a phrase constantly running in the background in their minds.
Snacktivisits UNITE! Wait, you don’t know what a snacktivist is? Oh, well sit tight, because you’re going to love the positive messaging Sally Kuzemchak of Real Mom Nutrition is spreading about kids and snacking!
What are you serving up for Super Bowl Sunday? I bet you have your favorite right? But did you know that each state apparently has it’s own favorite Super Bowl food too? I had no idea, but it’s true. Illinois apparently loves Buffalo chicken dip and my home state of Indiana relies on pulled pork, but I’m going with Florida’s favorite this year, and making spinach artichoke dip, specifically, my Roasted Poblano Spinach Artichoke Dip.
Busy girls (and guys)! Attention please! I’m super excited to share some really fun stuff with you today. Just what am I sharing? I’m so happy you asked! Don’t cry! I know you’re sad that the “Stop Sloppy Snacking” Challenge has almost come to an end. Honestly, I’m sad too. It’s been fun coming up with snack ideas for you. Hopefully you’ve enjoyed eating these snacks as much as I’ve enjoyed creating them! And don’t worry, this final week of snacks is a pretty tasty way to say good-bye!
